Description
Welcome to the Mardale Guest House. This fine example of a Victorian Villa is located in a peaceful residential cul-de-sac 1 mile south west of the City Centre which can be reached by frequent nearby buses, or by a leisurely walk through the Meadows to link up with the historic Royal Mile which passes down through the high tenements of the Old Town to the Royal Palace of Holyroodhouse overlooked by Arthurs Seat only minutes from the bustle of Princes Street near to the elegant New Town and impressive Museums and Art Galleries.

Edinburgh is famous for the annual Edinburgh Festival every August, where dance, drama and musical events are performed at venues throughout the city along with the spectacular International Military Tattoo on the Castle Esplanade.

Edinburgh has become the political centre of Scotland since becoming the home of the Scottish Parliament.

The Mardale is ideally located for Universities and the EICC.

There is free on-street parking available in Hartington Place and other parallel streets.

From bus stop near Scott Monument in Princes Street take Lothian Regional Transport bus 10 to Gilmore Place then a short walk along Viewforth, or

bus 11, 15, 16 & 17 to Bruntsfield Place then a short walk along Viewforth, or taxi direct

From the Airport
Airport bus to Waverley Bridge then bus as above, or taxi direct

By road from South
From City Bypass (A720) take A702 toward City Centre, after approximately 4 miles after passing through Morningside carry on to Bruntsfield Place (A702) turn left into Viewforth. Hartington Place 2nd on left.

By road from North & West
Carry onto City Centre then follow signs south on A702 after passing Bruntsfield Hotel on right take 3rd on right (Viewforth) Hartington Place 2nd on left, or

Take City Bypass (A720) south then turn left onto A702 as above.
